The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that 36.99% of polling unit results from the ongoing Anambra State Governorship Election have been successfully uploaded to its INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal. The update was provided on Saturday afternoon as collation continues across the state.
The IReV portal, introduced to enhance transparency and public trust in Nigeria’s electoral process, allows citizens to monitor real-time results from polling units. INEC officials cited logistical delays and technical challenges in remote areas as reasons for the gradual pace of uploads.
Despite the slow progress, INEC reiterated its commitment to a free, fair, and credible election, assuring voters and observers that all results will be uploaded as soon as they are verified.
Security agencies have maintained a strong presence across polling zones to ensure peaceful conduct, while civil society and international observers continue to monitor the process.
