In his message, Joshua shared poignant images from a funeral home where he stood with his mother and the grieving families of Ghami and Ayodele, using lyrics from the memorial song “Gangsta Lean” to honor their memory and captioned the post “ My Brothers Keeper”Plans for joint funeral services at the London Central Mosque were underway, with supporters from the boxing world and beyond offering condolences.
Authorities have since charged the SUV’s driver, 46-year-old Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, with causing death by dangerous driving and other offences; he was granted bail while the case continues. The incident occurred just days after Joshua’s win over Jake Paul and threw the boxing community into shock, prompting tributes from fellow fighters and public figures.
