In a dramatic turn within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has emerged as the factional Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT). His appointment follows the dissolution of the Adolphus Wabara-led BoT by a faction loyal to the party’s new Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Muhammad The Punch Vanguard.
The announcement was made in a communique issued after an emergency meeting of the newly reconstituted BoT held in Abuja. The faction also named Hon. Isah Dansidi as Secretary, replacing Senator Ahmed Makarfi. The communique stated that Wabara and Makarfi could no longer serve due to their public positions in the ongoing intra-party crisis, which allegedly compromised their neutrality and moral authority The Punch Daily Post Nigeria.
