FG Launches “NJFP 2.0” to Generate 20,000 Youth Jobs Annually

The Federal Government has officially opened applications for the second phase of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP 2.0), aiming to create at least 20,000 jobs annually for young Nigerians. (Punch Nigeria)

Announced by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, the initiative forms part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, targeted at young graduates seeking employment, experience and career progression. (The Guardian Nigeria)

Vice President Kashim Shettima, who inaugurated the Project Steering Committee ahead of the launch, disclosed that the programme will be implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the European Union (EU). He said the scheme will bridge the gap between learning and earning for graduates. (The Guardian Nigeria)

According to the Vice President, over 14,000 young Nigerians benefited from the initial phase of the fellowship, and the new phase is designed to scale impact and reach more youths across strategic sectors such as agriculture, digital technology, renewable energy, manufacturing and the creative industries.
