The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) held its matriculation ceremony on November 20, 2025, welcoming 6,356 students into various academic programmes — the highest intake recorded by the institution to date allschool.ng.
During the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, congratulated the students on their admission but emphasized the importance of discipline and adherence to university rules. He specifically warned against indecent dressing, stressing that the institution would not tolerate any behavior that undermines its values.
Prof. Kehinde reminded the students that matriculation is not only a celebration but also a formal induction into the university community, where they are expected to uphold academic excellence, integrity, and respect for institutional codes of conduct.
The VC also urged the new intakes to focus on their studies, avoid distractions, and take advantage of FUNAAB’s facilities and opportunities for research and innovation. He reiterated that the university’s dress code policy would be strictly enforced, aligning with FUNAAB’s broader campaign to promote discipline and academic seriousness FUNAAB LinkedIn.
The event was attended by principal officers of the university, faculty members, and parents, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of the newly admitted students.
