Katsina, Dec. 3, 2025 — The Katsina State Police Command has disclosed that it handled 123 criminal cases in November 2025, leading to the arrest of 63 suspects across various divisions.
Commissioner of Police, CP Abubakar Musa, revealed the figures during a press briefing at the command headquarters. He explained that the cases ranged from armed robbery, kidnapping, cattle rustling, rape, and banditry-related offences.
According to Musa, the arrests were made possible through intensified patrols, intelligence-led operations, and collaboration with local vigilante groups. He noted that several firearms, ammunition, and stolen livestock were recovered during the operations.
The CP assured residents that the command remains committed to safeguarding lives and property, stressing that proactive measures are being taken to curb criminal activities, especially in rural communities vulnerable to bandit attacks.
He also urged citizens to continue providing timely information to security agencies, emphasising that community cooperation is vital in the fight against crime.
Security analysts say the figures reflect both the scale of insecurity in Katsina and the police’s determination to confront it, though challenges such as porous borders and limited resources persist.
