Senator Garba Maidoki has reassured Nigerians following the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State, insisting that the situation will not repeat the prolonged ordeal of the 2014 Chibok kidnappings.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the Senator emphasized that security agencies are fully mobilized and leveraging modern intelligence to ensure the safe rescue of the girls. He stressed that the federal government has learned from past incidents and is acting decisively to prevent delays in rescue operations.
“We are committed to bringing the Kebbi schoolgirls home safely. This will not become another Chibok. The government is acting swiftly and with full coordination across all security agencies,” Senator Maidoki said.
The Senator also urged parents and community members to stay calm and support ongoing efforts, warning against spreading panic or misinformation that could hinder operations. Security experts have echoed his confidence, noting that rapid deployment, local intelligence networks, and collaborative efforts with neighboring states enhance the prospects of a successful rescue.
