Onuche was ordered to hand over council affairs to Vice Chairman Victoria Okolo pending the outcome of investigations Leadership.
The Assembly stated that a fair and effective investigation could not proceed while Onuche remained in office.
A five-member investigative committee was constituted, led by Hon. Bode Ogunmola, with members including Hon. Ishaya Omotayo Adeleye (Ijumu), Hon. Asema Baba Haruna (Adavi), Hon. Anthony Ujah (Olamaboro), and Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijani (Lokoja 1).
