SAN FRANCISCO — Lambda, a leading AI cloud infrastructure company, has announced a multibillion-dollar strategic partnership with Microsoft to build and deploy large-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure powered by tens of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs, including the latest NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems.
The deal, unveiled on November 3, 2025, represents a significant expansion of Lambda’s long-standing relationship with Microsoft, which began in 2018. Under the agreement, Lambda will deliver mission-critical AI cloud compute at scale through Microsoft’s Azure platform, enabling faster and more efficient training and deployment of advanced AI models.
“It’s great to work with Microsoft to bring our NVIDIA-powered infrastructure to more developers and enterprises,” Lambda said in a statement.
Lambda, often referred to as the “Superintelligence Cloud,” provides high-performance cloud services and software for AI developers, including GPU rentals and model training environments. The new infrastructure will support a wide range of AI workloads, from large language models to computer vision and scientific computing.
The collaboration comes amid surging demand for AI compute capacity globally, driven by the rapid adoption of generative AI and large-scale machine learning applications. Microsoft’s investment in Lambda aligns with its broader strategy to dominate the AI cloud services market, building on its existing partnerships with OpenAI and NVIDIA.
The companies did not disclose the exact financial terms, but reports confirm the deal is valued in the multi-billion-dollar range and spans several years.
