Benin City, Dec. 2, 2025 — The Edo State House of Assembly has directed Hon. Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, who represents Egor Constituency, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee within one week to defend herself against allegations of misconduct.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, announced the summons during plenary, stating that Natasha’s recent public conduct had “dragged the name of the House into the mud.” Viral videos and online discussions about her marital dispute with 2Baba have sparked controversy, prompting lawmakers to act.
According to reports, Natasha’s outbursts and statements on social media have raised concerns about abuse of privilege and actions capable of embarrassing the legislature. Lawmakers insisted that members must uphold decorum and protect the integrity of the Assembly.
