Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has assured Nigerians that despite the rising insecurity challenges across several states, the nation will eventually return to a state of peace and stability. She made the remarks while addressing journalists during a public engagement on national development and security reforms.
Onyejeocha acknowledged the severity of recent security incidents—including kidnappings, bandit attacks, and unrest in rural communities—but stressed that the Federal Government is intensifying coordinated efforts to restore safety. She highlighted ongoing collaborations between security agencies, state governments, and local communities as critical steps in reclaiming troubled regions.
According to her, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has prioritized security in its national agenda, with renewed focus on intelligence gathering, community policing, and deployment of advanced technology to counter insurgency and criminal activity.
She urged citizens to remain hopeful and continue supporting security agencies, adding that national unity and cooperation are essential to achieving lasting peace.
