In a swift and coordinated response, operatives of the Sakura Division of the Ogun State Police Command foiled a robbery attempt in the Okearedi, Araromi community off the Sagamu–Ijebu Ode Expressway. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m., following a distress call from the CDC Chairman of the area.
According to Police Public Relations Officer CSP Omolola Odutola, about five hoodlums were attempting to forcefully enter a residence when officers arrived. Upon sighting the patrol team, the suspects fled in different directions, prompting a hot pursuit.
The police recovered the gang’s operational vehicle, a black Lexus GS 350 with registration number OGUN TTD 452 TT, abandoned at the entrance of the community.
