According to BBC News (Nov. 5, 2025), Prince William was received in BrasĂlia by Brazilian officials and later traveled to the Amazon region, where he met with conservation leaders and indigenous communities working to protect the rainforest. He praised local efforts to preserve biodiversity, saying, “What happens here affects all of us. The Amazon is the lungs of our planet.”
Reuters reported that during a joint press briefing with Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Prince emphasized the importance of international collaboration in tackling deforestation and promoting green investment. He also announced new UK-Brazil initiatives on forest restoration and climate education.
