Police Crack Down on Cult Violence in Port Harcourt
The Rivers State Police Command has made significant strides in curbing cult-related violence in Port Harcourt, arresting ten suspected members of the Deygbam cult group. The suspects were allegedly involved in a deadly turf war between the Blood Suckers and D12 factions, which has claimed multiple lives and instilled fear in the Diobu community.
According to Police Public Relations Officer SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the arrests were the result of weeks of intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling the cult network. The suspects include individuals aged between 23 and 43, and were apprehended with a cache of weapons including a Scorpion VZ61 submachine gun, a fabricated Beretta pistol, and live ammunition The Punch The Guardian Nigeria.
