A heavy security operation is underway in Maga, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, following a deadly attack on the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School. According to police reports, the assault occurred around 4:00 a.m. on November 17, 2025, when gunmen armed with sophisticated weapons invaded the school premises, shooting sporadically before abducting the students.
The attackers reportedly killed Vice Principal Hassan Makuku and injured another staff member, Ali Shehu, during the raid. Police tactical units stationed at the school engaged the bandits in a gun duel but were unable to prevent the abduction as the assailants scaled the school fence and forced their way into the hostels Vanguard.
