The 2025 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards nominee list has been unveiled, and two films have emerged as dominant forces: Seven Doors, a thriller by Femi Adebayo, and Abanisete, produced and headlined by Ibrahim “Itele” Yekini.
Seven Doors leads the pack with nine nominations, including Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Movie. The film’s gripping narrative and strong performances have earned it widespread acclaim, positioning it as a top contender for the prestigious awards TheCable Lifestyle.
Close behind is Abanisete, which secured eight nominations, showcasing Ibrahim Yekini’s growing influence in Nollywood. The film is recognized for its compelling storytelling and production quality TheCable Lifestyle.
Also making waves is Mercy Aigbe, whose films My Mother Is A Witch and Farmer’s Bride received seven and six nominations respectively. Her dual success as producer and actress underscores her versatility and impact on the industry TheCable Lifestyle.
The nominations were announced at a ceremony held at Mayami Lagos, celebrating the achievements of filmmakers, actors, and producers who have shaped the Nigerian film landscape over the past year.
