Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has hailed the peaceful and transparent conduct of the 2025 Anambra governorship election, describing it as Nigeria’s “gold standard” for democratic practice. In his victory speech following re-election, Soludo commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for upholding democratic principles and praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a credible process.
“This election is a testament to what Nigeria can achieve when institutions work and leaders respect the will of the people,” Soludo said at his country home in Isuofia.
Soludo won re-election with 73% of the total votes, securing victories in 320 out of 326 wards and all 21 local government areas. He emphasized that the result reflects strong grassroots support and a mandate to continue his reform agenda.
