In the early hours of Sunday, 26 October 2025, NDLEA operatives raided Proxy Nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos, arresting nightclub owner Pretty Mike and more than 100 guests during what the agency described as a “drug-themed party”. Cartons of illicit substances—including “Loud” (a potent cannabis strain) and laughing gas (nitrous oxide)—were recovered at the venue and in the club’s store.
